One for the album – the youths and their advisors visiting!

Story contributed by Joshua Lee, GMC i-Youth Fellowship

FEB 16, MIRI – In conjunction with the Chinese New Year celebration, the youths (i-Youth Fellowship) from Grace Methodist Church organized a visitation to homes of their peers.

The response was overwhelming with 50 youths participating.

The first home the youths visited was Rev. Lisa Ting’s parsonage. It lasted for about 45 minutes with warm fellowship. Tidbits and drinks were served. The pastor-in-charge said a blessing prayer before the youths continued on with their visitation to the other homes.

Siblings Jonas and Joylyn Hong were elated despite the hectic schedule. “This experience provided me the opportunity to know my friends better and we had good bonding,” said 16 year-old Jonas.

His younger sister added, “It was a wonderful experience with lots of eating, ang pows and basically just having fun. I got to meet a lot of really nice people.”

The i-Youth Fellowship is held on Saturdays (7:30pm) in church. All youths are welcome to join.
