MIRI – A Praise and Worship camp ‘Giving back to God – Called to Praise, Created to Worship’ was held at Grace MC from Mar 22-24.

Organized by the GMC Youth Fellowship (i-Youth), a total of 24 youths participated in the 3D/2N camp that covered theme talks, practical classes, games and fellowship sessions.

The camp was chaired by Tiffany Ting, and assisted by five committee members.

Campers were divided into two groups: Y.E.S. (Your Eternal Savior) and REVOLUTION.

Y.E.S. was led by Esther Su while REVOLUTION by Kristine Ling.

i-Youth Helper Joanne Ting praised the participants for their good demeanor. “I didn’t expect all of you to be so good,” she said during lighter moments.

Adding to that, i-Youth Advisor Andy Chew humorously chipped in: “I thought you people will bring us trouble, having parents calling us but this didn’t happen at all.”

The camp ended with personal sharing from all individuals.

14 year-old Gladys shared her testimony with tears of joy and thanked the committee members for organizing the camp.

During the time spent together the campers had learned about teamwork, music and self-control among others.

Past i-Youth President Joshua Lee expressed his thankfulness to God for the experience gained during the camp. “Through this period I learned that when worshiping God, it is all about Him and not about us so we must remain humble in His presence,” said the active Fifth Former student from SMK Chung Hua.
